The Renwick Invitational: Four Discoveries in Craft. Renwick Gallery,
Pennsylvania Avenue at 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006.
This exhibition explores the innovations of four contemporary artists
established in their respective craft fields. "The Renwick Invitational:
Four Discoveries in Craft" includes 50 unique objects. Among the exhibitors
is basketmaker Gyöngy Laky of San Francisco who interlaces twigs, electrical
wire and other found objects into nest-like baskets.
